What we look for ... Guidance on submitting ideas
4C Ventures invests primarily in information technology companies, preferably at an early stage. We look for investments in technology and service companies in the broad areas of Internet/Intranet, e-Commerce, communications, new media, computer and networking hardware and software. We are quite comfortable with seed stage investing and look to be active investors and participants in the growth of the company.
At an early stage, we will often act as a lead investor and take a Board seat, especially in an area of particular expertise and experience. We will also co-invest with other venture and strategic investors where appropriate. We believe in being active investors, supporting entrepreneurs and management in areas of strategic planning and execution, business development (especially internationally), finance and fund-raising, and management/operations.
We are happy to consider business plans and ideas at all stages of development, and to provide what feedback and guidance we can. We encourage you to consult with available resources for entrepreneurs (some of which we have included in our Web Resources for Entrepreneurs section) for guidance on what key items should be covered in a business plan and how to go about getting funding. However, we do not require any specific structure for submission of a plan or idea.
